The primary objective of the AI Sub-Fund is to achieve long-term, risk adjusted capital appreciation by adhering to investment principles of absolute return management. The AI Sub-Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing directly or indirectly in various investment funds and fund-like investment instruments which themselves pursue alternative or traditional long-only investment strategies. While the objective of the AI Sub-Fund is to pursue an absolute return approach, it seeks to do so by gaining exposure, directly or indirectly, to either closed-end or open-end UCI (based in different jurisdictions) pursuing hedge fund strategies or long-only strategies or by investing directly or indirectly in exchange-traded-funds (ETF), futures, options, forwards, swaps or credit default swaps (CDS) in order to generate long or short market exposure.
