KBR Bags $187 Mln Order From US Government To Provide Medical Support Services In Iraq
(RTTNews) - KBR Inc. (KBR) said on Monday that it has bagged a new time and material or T&M, cost-reimbursable task order from the U.S. Department of State to provide medical support services in Iraq.
The Medical Support Services Iraq or MedSSI task order has a $187 million ceiling and falls under the Diplomatic Platform Support Services or DiPSS contract. The period of performance is five years and runs through 2029.
Under the terms, KBR will provide medical support services to over 4,000 personnel supporting the U.S. Mission Iraq. It will operate a diplomatic support hospital and four clinics supporting the U.S. Embassy in Iraq.
The company will provide on-site primary, urgent, and initial emergency care. KBR physicians, nurse practitioners, physicians' assistants and support staff will be certified to provide general and specialty care, including surgery, orthopedics, neurology, and others.
