Baader Bank granted MiCAR licence by BaFin

Baader Bank has been granted a MiCAR crypto trading licence for the "execution of cryptoasset orders for customers" pursuant to the Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCAR). As such, Baader Bank is now also able to provide cryptoasset services for its clients throughout the EU in connection with passporting. The MiCAR licence underscores Baader Bank's position as a leading, reliable and regulated partner for institutional and private investors in the European cryptocurrency market.

The MiCAR is a key step in harmonising regulatory standards for trading and for cryptoasset safekeeping within the EU. The MiCAR consolidates the functionality of the digital financial sector overall, regulates the approval of cryptoasset service providers and the provision of cryptoasset services, and promotes both transparency and the protection of investors via a range of mechanisms. It also provides companies with access to a harmonised European crypto market by unifying various national regulations.
